A big effort in the third period propels the Bruins to a couple of points on a rather slow night in EHEC. The Coyotes' penalty kill struggles as the Wild sneak away with the extra point thanks to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in OT. The Sharks fall to the Ducks in the battle of SoCal. Miikka Kiprusoff pitches his third straight shutout in a Flames win over the Avs to make Calgary the sixth team to reach the 100-point plateau this season.

16 shots, give up a shorthanded goal and Thornton, Heatley and Radulov are nowhere to be found on the scoresheet. Yup, that's an EHM road game alright.

Nothing says shitty like 40+ wins and a playoff berth.

Well, with almost a 20 point difference, I consider it yeah, but at the same time, I only lost since it's a back-to-back on the road with Dan Ellis is net, and lost by a goal, so whatever, but just wish they would play better.

I can't think of a higher over achiever in EHEC history than your current MTL group. That's nothing against your team, in fact a compliment to your team strategies, but the fact you are in disbelief every time you lose a game is mind boggling.

Guys, let's focus on Kipper's 3rd straight shutout here,
Show some love for the man!!

Over achiever? Why?

My top 6 F group is one of the best in the league, I'd say Bern, and Femur (with a healthy Patricia Kane) have better but that's probably it?? Don't know off the top of my head, but in the very least, my top 6 F group would be in the top 5 of 30 teams. Plus Boother is back so that makes me have a pretty complete Top 9.

I have one of the best goalie's in the league, and a pretty solid defense.

I don't think they are over achieving at all, they underachieve (for example losses vs NYI and BOS) so that's why I get annoyed. They shouldn't lose those games, but EHM oddities happen quite frequently. Just wish some of my foes would get some of this same bad luck (looking at you Bern, and Tim).

There is quite often I accept defeat (games vs the actual good top teams in the East - PIT, WSH, CAR)

Yeah, because Iginla hasn't missed four months of this season or anything. van Riemsdyk missed the entire 2011-12 playoffs and the first month of this season. Ranger also missed the entire 2011-12 playoffs and part of this season.

Been nothing but "good luck" for Bern over the last 12 months in EHEC.

I've had my fair share of injuries as well.

^I was just meaning in losing some games recently as he's won 8 of 10, and Timmy has won 9 of 10 I think.

Marc Savard has been probably the biggest overachiever in the league for like two seasons now. Especially compared to the NHL version.

Well, real Marc Savard's brains have turned into soup, so there's no argument there.

Cohen has done quite well, as has my team overall. I was 8-1-1 in my last 10 before dropping the last 2 of 3 but hoping returning home will get the boys back on a winning streak to close out the year.

Marc Savard, click 2.
Ales Hemsky, click 2.
Joe Pavelski, click 2.

Only reason Savard scores.
