To Anaheim: F Jakub Voracek [78], F Patrik Berglund [71]
To Montreal: F Joe Pavelski [73], F Saku Koivu [72], ANA 2nd Round 2014
Confirmed. Giving up some depth here. Didn't plan on moving Voracek but I think Pavelski is a better fit for me in my top 6 than Voracek. I'm going to miss Berglund on the PK as well as PP2, but Koivu is not that much of a downgrade, plus has an expiring contract and good LE.
Input after my game tonight.

Confirm from Anaheim. Voracek is a good top 6 player, can play well on both side of the ice with a great skating ability. He has also a great cons. He is not better than Pavelski, but i thing he will do the same job.
Berglund was the player i wanted to get. He has a really good positioning ability, could play well with Macmillan on a neutral or a passing play. His faceoff ability is one of the aspect that i love in his game. He will be so valuable to count on a center who can win faceoff, particuly on shorthanded. Maybe if he his well use he could make an other 83 points season like 2010-2011 with St-Louis.
Koivu is a great veteran, but i think that i won't make playoff, so his leadership will not be usefull in my team. Also, he will probably decrease on some attribute next season, so he won't had make the club next season.
Good deal for both team i think.

What's the point in Anaheim giving up a 2nd round pick?

Brad, don't be surprised to see me sneak in on your possible deals in the future.

Pavelski is better that Voracek. But Voracek + Berglund vs Pavelski is in my advantage. Montreal wanted Koivu and a 2nd pick 2013. The fact that i won't probably don't make playoff this year makes him winner if i have decided to trade him my 2nd pick 2013. Koivu is a great player, but he will decrease next year and won't be usefull for anyone. It's because of this that i've decided to trade him the 2nd 2014. This pick is in 1 years + 1 or 2 years to develop, so it won't affect my team on long therm, and with the value of the draft, i don't think it will be a superstar. I think that next year i will have a better position in the standing column, so....

Things could change but at this point I don't see Koivu returning next year, plus will be decreasing in the next few months attribute wise down to about 75/66, making him possibly on the 4th line or a healthy scratch, who knows.
For me, I see this deal as Voracek and Berglund for Pavelski and a 2nd. Voracek isn't too far off from Pavelski attribute wise, plus he's getting Berglund, and Pavelski has 37 points in 62 games and not that useful in the faceoff dot. Voracek and Berglund are also much younger than Pavelski and Koivu, the 2nd helps offset that age gap.

Approved and entered.
Pavelski and Voracek are close, future second to MTL to offset age he's adding, specifically Koivu.
