The Phoenix Coyotes and Minnesota Wild are pleased to announce they have reached an agreement on a trade:
Phoenix receives:
R/L Martin Havlat (72)
MIN 2010 3rd round pick
Minnesota receives:
L/C Peter Mueller (77)
Havlat provides legitimate top-line scoring talent and gives the team a chance to be immediately more competitive, while the draft pick helps to offset the significant financial commitment taken on. The organization's scouts are in doubt of Mueller's ability to develop into a true game-breaker, and a change of scenery may do him good. The Coyotes welcome Martin Havlat, and wish Mueller nothing but the best with his new team. The Phoenix Coyotes approve this trade.
