Calgary sends D Matt Lashoff (con 70)

to Det for 3 round 2014 Pittsburgh

Much needed help at D for Detroit for a pick I got in the Sullivan trade (I have tons to spare)

Even though Lashoff's contract wasn't too high, carrying him around as my 7th blueliner wasn't worth it.
I couldn't send him down since he would've had to clear the waivers first which he certainly wouldn't have.
Instead of straight up giving him away, getting a 3rd round pick in return seems right.
Minor leaguers Anton Strålman and P.K. Subban can still be called upon in case of an injury.

I think I can make a better use of this cap relief later on this season.
