Rangers send C Mikael Backlund [80]
Bruins send 2nd round pick in 2014
Reason: Backlund just a farmie here, and Boston wanted him. A second is pretty good return for him, imo. Good luck, Jason!

Confirmed.
I got rid of a prospect in Khokhlachev to Calgary, and I'm getting a prospect in Backlund to take his spot. His POT/CON are decent, and he should work out to be a slightly better Matt Stajan for half the costs and 5 less years in age. I don't think a second round pick next year is too much for a player who I can use on the farm right now.

This deal is fine. Will complete deal when Backlund is healthy to make it easier to trade the draft pick.
