Rangers send:
Marc Staal [81]
Devils send:
Johnny Oduya [73]
NYR 1st 2013
Reasoning: Just continuing the retooling of this team. Tough to lose Staal, but getting my pick back means I control my future, so to speak. Oduya is a decent piece coming back, and for now keeps me from having a Nigel Williams/Michael Sauer 3rd pair D unit.

I needed better D, Staal accomplishes that and I cut a little salary. Now to work on moving Malkin and Elias for cheaper top 6 options

Approved.
Staal is a very one-dimensional player in the file and there's no doubt that Pat can get a more well-rounded player in the middle of the first round next draft. Oduya is a salary dump.
