No place anymore on the first line for 36 goal scorer Alex Frolov, with Crosby, Statsny and Perron on the first line and Brown, Turris and the possibility of playing Burns on my 2nd line, the Kings have no place for him anymore. Hard to let go Hoefflin, a good young player who cost almost anything, but Johns will bring some physical present to play against my stanley cup rival. Colliton will play a minor role on the fourth line.

Oilers approve this deal. I'm needing to bring in a bit of a scorer to compliment Eberle and I think Frolov can do that Hoefflin will make a decent 2/3rd liner with a better shot that Colliton who was key for the Barons AHL run this spring.

I'm deep on D with one of my AHL D moving up so I had some spares. This give me more options up front.

Johns is a very good defensive player acquired by the Oilers in the Hemsky deal. A quick glance at the Edmonton forwards and it's clear to see why this transaction was made. Swap also makes sense from the Kings' perspective as well. Ohlund was sent to CBJ for Mason and Hugo felt he needed a replacement.
