In a back-and-forth chess match between two admirable foes, the Winnipeg Jets are victorious on the strength of a big third period surge to advance to the second round. EHM giveth and EHM taketh away with three goal periods. Props to Brad for a great series when everybody had him written off a long time ago.

Andrei Kostityn sure did his best. Marc Savard was invisible from about March onwards. My 4th line got ripped apart this entire series no matter who played on it. Goc -6, Lapierre -4, Joensuu -3.
