The Habs were just 2:14 away from punching their ticket to the second round before former Canadien Max Pacioretty tied the game setting the stage for Jonathan Huberdeau to take advantage in OT with the powerplay tally that sends the series back to Manitoba. The Coyotes are the first home team to win a game in the 4/5 matchup in the West and it just so happens to propel them to the second round where they will face either the San Jose Sharks or the Calgary Flames pending what happens in the Columbus/Nashville series.

Every day I see my dream...

I had to do something to break up that home loss streak, so I decided to try my old "pre-NZT takeover of the league" lines. No matter what I did for strategy in my test sims, the results were wildly unpredictable: I'd try out a strategy and win 6-0, only to lose the next test 7-3. Test sims just don't work, so I just crossed my fingers and hoped that at least a total strategy change would throw the Kings off their game. Looks like it worked this time.

Much respect to Hugo for assembling a team comprised of players I wish I had on my roster. That series easily could have gone the other way. This year, Master Doan's leadership overcame Doan-In-Training Dustin Brown's, but Brown is certainly on his way. Best of luck next year, Hugo.

You got 5...

No offense to Adam, but I'm still hoping Nashville pulls through. Otherwise Kurt Sauer's going to earn himself some bruises next week.

Yeah, I want to win, obviously, but I really want to see you and Parker go toe-to-toe again. That promises to be a great series. Plenty of hatred between the two teams.
