A very exciting night in EHEC as the playoff chases in both conferences heat up. Mark Alt is now a goal scorer as he nets his second in a week. Brock Nelson and Adam Larsson both score their first NHL goals in this season's 1000th game, but Larsson's is slightly more meaningful as the Flyers get an excellent goaltending performance from Calvin Pickard to beat the Cats. Rick Nash's hat trick propels the Jackets past the Kings. Montreal gets a late OT winner but loses Eric Tangradi for a month thanks to former Hab Stephen Johns. Buffalo sacks up late in a back-to-back to beat the Bruins with three straight in the third. The Lightning continue their late charge to a playoff spot picking up a key second point in OT on the Caps. San Jose dominates the Stars, the Preds bash the Avs, the Jets take care of business, and Bub's on suicide watch with another poor effort from his Rangers.

Greiss continues to amaze.

Both of Alt's goals have been game-winners.

Stephen Johns is a total dick, injuring his former teammate what two weeks after he was traded?

While I'm at it, San Jose: 46-17-3, 10-0-0-0 in the last 10 games. 8-) And you know why?

Joe Thornton, London ONT
Brad Boyes, Missisauga ONT

...and actually I only have 6 Canadian players on my roster. Uh oh. Whatever, Team USA is coming to town on Saturday Parker, y'all better be ready.

Roy responds well to getting bumped to the second line and ends his point drought, but would prefer to not kill a penalty in the final two minutes. No help from Edmonton, Washington, or Florida is a bummer, but looks like it's setting up for a wild finish!

EHM you're so fucking predictable. How did I know a 4 game winning streak meant a serious injury. I said it outloud to myself tonight, "I hope its not to the defense." Ever since Tangradi got here my secondary scoring has been huge, and I guess that's out the window now. Fantastic.

Meh. Four wins in twenty-five test sims (yeah, I had a lot of time to kill last night) = not surprised. At least I got another Daniel Larsson game out of the way.

For the record, current Coyotes roster by country of origin:

Canada 11*
Russia 3
USA 3
Finland 2
Czech 1
Denmark 1
Germany 1
Sweden 1

List includes injured winger Vladislav Kartayev (RUS)

*Quinton Howden is from Oakbank, Manitoba. EHM thinks he's American for some reason.

Now, I'm not gonna say that Canadians on roster = playoff success or anything, but hmm.

So, your travels have taken you to Chicago and you're going to be flashing your junk at people? Good to know. Glad I'll be 6 hours away from there all day today.
