Good morning (boo) everyone! (boo) It's great to see all of your smiling faces (boo) here in <PLAUSIBLE LOCATION OF EHEC FRANCHISE> (some cheers from the locals). Congratulations to the Stanley Cup Champion Ottawa Senators (mostly boos, sorry Marty) and the runner-up St. Louis Blues (mostly quizzical looks).

The 2026 EHEC Entry Draft will now begin (pretend it's 45 minutes in the future). The Buffalo Sabres are on the clock (keep pretending).

The Sabres are OTC.

A silence falls across the room. All eyes are on the Sabres GM. Silence. He stares forward, almost frozen, with a look of confusion. The clock ticks away. Silence. The seconds turn to minutes, then hours. Then, suddenly, with only moments to spare on the clock the Sabres GM leaps from his seat and frantically dashes to the stage. He doesn't even stop at the microphone. As he rushes passed he screams two words:

IVAR STENBERG!

And in a flash, as fast as he was on the stage, he is off. Headed towards the back doors of the arena.

The Boston Bruins are on the clock.

Waking up from vacation to find this:

Damn.
