2025 Preseason

Just like last year: most UFA signings are in and almost everybody has a full roster. So let's start preseason tomorrow (Thursday night). In preparation, all prospects have been invited to camp. I will begin simming one night at first but we might accelerate a bit depending on what we decide to do with this season's schedule. Please remember to leave at least one player and staff member on the farm.

I simmed the next day last night and entered some more signings just now.
Two teams (CBJ, WAS) had only one goalie on their roster so I had to (manually) fast-sign Callum Booth and Patrik Bartosek for them.

We are 2 days further in the preseason.
Decent job by Dan I assume as only a few teams needed the ol 'cpu fix my lines'.

Everyone has played 2 games now. We'll continue at the pace of 2 sims per day until the calendars catch up.

2 more days and sorry to TBL/SJS for MM. Gajan and Kempf and a lack of CON boosts.

Do preseason games count towards suspensions? Nordh should be suspended for 3 regular season games, right?

In EHM, the suspended games count will reduce by one for every preseason game (I couldn't think of a good
and clear way to phrase that
).
Historically I believe we have just left it that way, because it would require extra tracking of suspensions (and might raise questions regarding games missed for suspended RFAs and/or late signed UFAs), but I can understand why folks might want them to carry over to the regular season.
Though given we suspend the same games/time injured in the playoffs vs regular season, maybe it makes sense for preseason to also be the same?

Two more days simmed and we are halfway through preseason and close to caught up to real time. It's also past Sept 15 in-game, so any RFAs without a bid at present will sign their QOs later today.

5 games done for all and 3 to go. There's a 5-way tie for the preseason scoring lead at 8 points apiece. Also entered a 5-game suspension for Kyle Beach from the other night that I forgot about, for injuring some guy I've never heard of on Florida.

He's on your team. The way the site is run, if they are still on the (RFA) list they still appear on their old team as well, but only on the website. You should see him on your team and be able to dress him.

Preseason is over! Congrats to the champion Toronto Maple Leafs and to scoring leader German Rubtsov. Also, a couple of players on Vancouver decided to goon it up against Colorado and take out some randos for 1 and 8 months, respectively (ouch). So, uh:
64:59 VAN Maveric Lamoureux (5 min for attempt to injury)
Enjoy your 25 game suspension for destroying someone's groin with one second left in OT of the final preseason game, I guess!
