Avs accept. There were some internal options to cover the loss of Clarke, but his absence would have hurt in the playoffs. I was more comfortable bringing in a replacement. Gaunce is similar in most areas - what I lose defensively is made up in faceoffs and strength. Moving a 2nd that's three drafts away and in a year when I have a 1st helps.
