Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File
So listen. Well first, Happy New Year. So listen. We can all make resolutions to do better. Maybe some of us like helping out in this fun, silly league and this year we going to do better at not breaking players.ehm by our insanely stupid attempts at buying out two players without actually knowing how that looks. Yah, or maybe just like, less sugar in your coffee?
(The sim itself did not break and did not have to be redone, so the results are honest ones. Whether you are happy about that or not, will inevitably vary)
DET continues its "Wallinder World Tour" with another win and a jump to 6th in the West. Yes, the Jets are rebuilding, but you gotta win the easy ones too. Snugger with his 6th, that's a personal best.
The NJD beat the Leafs continuing to prove they aren't flukes this year despite being an ignore, unloved franchise by a repeated revolving door of GMs. Ol' Shane O' Mac with his 6th, 1/3rd away from his personal best.
The Isles beat MTL with 2 quick ones in the third from MPS. Did you know the Isles have Rick Nash? That was neat to discover. Anyway the commish has had the Vik-symbol on so long now that the electric bill is becoming problematic.
OTT beats PIT 3-1 in a battle of EC heavyweights. It's actually highly uneventful, only 1 PP, and the goals are predictably from Strome, McDavid, Hughes, and McDavid again. Beaulieu beat Nieves in a fight, capping off the OTT domination in all aspects.
STL with a nice little win over NAS. Both goalies played well in this one for a change with this game. It was a real "remember some guys" with goals from Huberdeau, Spezza, Richards, Perron, and Boeser.
Final curb-stomp was Vancouver 5 to 0 over the rebuilding Oilers. Beat them up both in score and in game, if only the Oilers had a guy, I dunno, a real Serron Noel-type. But guys like that aren't free. Trust the process but not Dostal or Roy, that's for sure.
