Nick needed someone to fill in and there was just one game on the calendar, so it wasn't exactly hard to do. Thus a longer write up, because why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, Jonathan Drouin managed to take a penalty 19 seconds into the game but it was killed off. A fight between Mackenzie Entwistle and Gabriel Sylvestre might have sparked the Coyotes, as Ryan Gropp opened the scoring with his 8th goal of the season (how does Ryan Gropp have 8 goals? Who even is Ryan Gropp?) about 12 seconds later.
Edmonton killed off Pavel Buchnevich's first penalty of the game, but Keegan Kolesar made it 2-0 Arizona later in the first.
Lucas Raymond got the Oilers back within one a bit under three minutes into the second period, only for Buchnevich to take a second penalty, with Drouin scoring just before the powerplay ended. Drouin added another two minutes later and Yegor Afanaseyev a minute after that to make it 5-1 Coyotes, at which point Lukas Dostal got pulled.
Entwistle apparently took this as licence to get fucked up, because he fought Brendan Warren partway into the third, then Nikita Tryamkin just before the game ended. This got Entwistle kicked out which is probably good for his health, as he lost all three fights.
Edmonton did manage to get one back, Chris Wilkie scoring his first of the season, but that was it for the scoring.
