Anaheim @ San Jose:
In our first game of the night, the Sharks surge to an 3-0 lead by the 36 minute mark courtesy of Brady Tkachuk, Colin White, and Vladimir Tarasenko. From there however the Ducks' first line (and Kieffer Bellows) go to work, scoring one goal before the end of the second and two more in the third to level things and send the game to OT. Alas, the Anaheim comeback falls short when Kaapo Kakko scores 1:18 into OT to win it for the Sharks and give them a 2-0 series lead.
Minnesota @ Nashville:
Game 2 was a little more staggered scoring-wise. Minny ends the first with the lead after Alexei Marchenko pots a shorty, before Nashville scores twice in the early second to take the lead. In the latter half of the second, the Wild would score 2 goals of their own to head into the third with a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately for Minny the third is all Nashville, as Rieger Lorenz scores the equalizer 18 seconds into the period; Brandon Saad would then score the game winner a couple of minutes later, evening the series at 1-1. And because I guess no one is allowed nice things, late in the third Minnesota's Kristian Vesalainen takes out Carson Lambos for 4 weeks, earning a 4 game suspension.
