NYR accepts. Perlini is a very good player on an average contract that I would love to keep, but the top 6 prevents me from spending that much otherwise. This gets me a worse, but still middle 6 player cheaper. Thanks Dan, a few other teams can cry otherwise.

Approved. Perlini's a better fit for CAR, who's got tons of finesse but not enough jam. Also Farabee's contract isn't great so I left enough cap room for CAR to retain the max and pay it off in one season.

The retention is max allowed: 1.5M each for the next two season, dropping Farabee's cap hit to 2M per for NYR. CAR will take the penalty as 3M for the next season.
