So I'm sending Blum and a 1st to NYI in return of Phaneuf, with NJ helping by taking 50% of his contract. For his generous sacrifice, NJ gets TOR's 3rd and I get his 5th.

I like Blum, but I need a shutdown guy and I'm saving $1.15M which can be helpful come trade deadline.
