The Jets take over top spot in the league (finally - after the December I had...) with a 5-1 victory over the Red Wings, Lightning tied the Jackets 2-2 with the Jackets coming back from two goals down, Arizona over the Stars 3-1, Kings doubled up the rival Ducks 4-2 on the back of a strong performance by their goaltender, Leafs shutout the Devils 3-0, Preds over the Blues 3-1, and rounding out the evening in the late game, the Canucks' Dawson Mercer scored with under five minutes to play to complete a comeback over the Oilers, 3-2.

Who knew liquidating your entire roster for draft picks that don't even exist was a sound strategy?

The best strategy seems to be to squeeze Vezina-calibre performances out of average-to-mediocre goalies. Wish I had known that sooner.
