Highlights include: a low-challenge affair in Buffalo that ends in a 1-1 draw and with Shea Weber earning the first suspension of the year (3 games) for taking out Yegor Korshkov for 3 weeks; three almost-but-not-quite comebacks for the Jackets, Wild and Rangers against the Ducks Hawks and Leafs, respectively; the Devils dunking on the Avalanche and the Penguins absolutely demolishing the Islanders; and Vancouver's Sebastian Cossa coming up short in his Jack Campbell impression against the new-look Kings. Yes, every game was a highlight, so nobody feels left out. Lowlights are probably all of the New York goalies' performances.
I did not quite finish it for this sim but next sim I run (Monday) I will:
- release the rights of every prospect over age 23 (mostly Europeans; they should be UFA by our rules), and:
- replace all of the crappy vopatizing farmers (older than 30 and <60 OV) with approximately equally shitty but younger crop-growers.
