6 games in the EHEC tonight, including New Jersey visiting Buffalo. New Jersey, long rumoured to be under league control, saw Travis Konecny open the scoring for them at 6:52 of the first. Konecny did not celebrate as hockey players often do, though, and showing the stress of the rumours have clearly gotten to him, he promptly followed up his goal by skating to the PA area and proclaimed himself as the new owner, president, emperor, and all-around cool guy of the Devils.
"Under my leadership, Devil will soon be spelled W-I-N-N-E-R!" he shouted inaccurately into the microphone before finally being tackled by security personnel.
While the Buffalo fan looked around confused, the Sabres proceeded to score 5 unanswered goals, which will surely be a black mark on President/Emperor/Cool Guy Konecny's new regime in New Jersey.
