Offered contracts to all guys with an OF + DF /2 under 60. The others are subject to a 25% raise per the formula.

I'll calculate those tomorrow or at a later date.

Lashoff: 1,340,832 (100-125% midpoint (1026666 + 64166), +350k def. spec., -100k ST)
Grant: 1,650,000 (125% base, +350k def. spec, -300k SH, PL, ST)
Emmerton: 727,083 (25% base, -300k SH, CH, HI)
Backlund: 2,150,000 (100% base (74 OF 64 DF fastsim), +350k off. spec, +250k 80+ CON, -200k CH, HI)
Sbisa: 2,218,750 (125% base, +250 80+ CON, 100k SK, -100k SH)

Let me know about Backlund. I know that contract's pretty far from the one posted. Fastsim really liked him.

All contracts except Backlund's offered.

Default contracts offered to minor leaguers.

I will PM you about McCollum's arbitration over the next couple of days.

An award has been determined in the Thomas McCollum arbitration.

DET comps and proposed: Toivonen, Montoya, Quick; 1M per for 3 years
Arbitrator comps: Neuvirth, Bishop

Again, another high POT, mediocre CON goaltender who has starter upside, but with EHM being a CON-based program for goaltenders, McCollum's likely ceiling is a backup.

I think his 78 POT gets him closer to Bishop than it does to someone like Neuvirth. So, I think 1M is a little low in this case. My arbitrator proposed 1.2M per and that seems like a good number to me. He's between Bishop and Neuvirth so that's where we will put him. He will never be good enough to be a regular starting goaltender, given what is in the file and in this year's draft class.

James, you can accept/reject McCollum at 1.2M per for 3 years with a team option.

Thanks. ( I guess 2 university degrees is not enough to figure this out)

I would also like to offer contracts to the following AHL players:

D Orlov
D Kindl

To default 3 years & 2 way contracts

Plus prospects

C Aaltonen & R Wilenius 2 way as long as we can (years)

Kindl won't take an AHL contract. He wants 1.6M, above the minimum. I tried 1.4 and he wouldn't take it with a two-way.

Other contracts offered.
