The Hawks fly out of the Windy City and land on Mount Royal with fresh new lines and attitudes, taking a relatively leisurely 7:14 to open the scoring against their original six rivals. Unfortunately, the end results are different than before but not in a good way for the Hawks. Klim Kostin ties up the game 1:40 later, and then adds another in his next shift, barely 2:25 later. Brendan Warren and Nathan Horton exchange goals (and pleasantries) in the second period - that's Warren's first of the playoffs and at an opportune time. That's as close as it got, as Klim Kostin completed his hat trick early in the third and Nikolai Glukhov added another insurance marker with a minute to spare. The Habs are now on the verge of their first EHEC championship, while the Hawks will have to claw their way out of the broom closet.
