MTL and PHI need minor adjustments for tomorrow's games.
FLA, NAS and WAS need to make more demotions and may be okay after that; I haven't checked.
ARZ and MIN need some more serious work.

Just a quick note - it appears this includes players that are 23 in the AHL. I believe this is the last year such players still do not count against the cap. When I calculate my cap, I'm at 59,956,000 - however this list is 400K above that, which appears to mean Guillaume Brisebois' 400K is being added. If that helps anyone.

Gotta love that pesky $6,000 keeping me over the cap.
I've got Kevin Klein counting $50k against the cap in the AHL, he can be yours with a small sweetener.

Yes, you're fine now. Penalties just add to your cap number every game exactly as a player would.

MIN & ARI still need some work, and WAS can get under by demoting Groulx in favour of a <800k player. COL should be fine after their trade, which I forgot to enter tonight.

MIN & ARI continue to need work. I suggested sending down Turcotte as a 2019 underager in the former case, and Benson/Thompson/Lander in the latter (not sure if that's quite enough but it's close).
NAS needs a minor adjustment as Saveliev's AHL salary is putting them over. NJ will be fine with Dauphin's LTIR and COL after their trades. WSH can swap Groulx for Meier, Calnan or any 800k or cheaper farm forward.

NAS & STL over by tiny amounts. STL is my fault; I didn't realize they had so many big age 24+ contracts buried in the AHL. MIN will be fine after the Bleackley claim (I should have entered it last night but it would have happened after the sim anyway).
Kudos to the whopping five teams in the league with more than 3M in cap space.

Everyone's okay except for NAS and STL. STL, annoyingly, will have trouble getting under with Vasilevski's injury since they have to call up a goalie, but buying out Gusev would do the trick, so I'll ping their new GM.

Nashville's still over, and will continue to be over until they spend at least one game under 60M. Currently there's no way to do that without waiving someone or sending Julien Gauthier down for a game, so the goat man is going down next game if there's no other action taken. Everyone else is fine, which is refreshing.
In case anyone cares, I fixed some errors in Columbus' cap from earlier in the season.

Yes, but as you can see in the first post, you did not get any LTIR for them because you were under 58M at the time, and then you added salary in trades. So no, you don't have room for even one spare skater.

Nashville slightly over, again, and Buffalo too this time, although MacInnis' injury will take care of that. Boston has too many contracts, even ignoring the fast signed Stefan Elliott.

Noting for the record that I forgot to re-add Shipley's LTIR since he got re-injured almost immediately after coming back from his last injury. Sorry. It doesn't make a difference anyhow.

I'll fix this before tomorrow night's game if nothing is done (in fact, I have to send at least one skater down to make room for Shipley).

You don't necessarily need 22 healthy, eligible players on your roster, if you have injuries or suspensions. You need 12F + 6D + 2G healthy to play, then a minimum of 2 extra players (who can be suspended or injured if you're careful with your roster).

SO the big question I have is how you earn "more" space than 60 million. The rule book has 3 rules.
(1) the cap is 60m
(2) LTIR of 2+ weeks earns you that players salary in additional space. You must return back to 60 after they return.
(3) Players 23 or older (starting next year; 24 and over up to the date of this post) that are over 800K count that much over towards the cap. As an Example, a 25 year old making 1 million will have 200K count against the cap.
So how is it teams "bank" additional space throughout the year?

Dan can correct me if I'm wrong on the details, but it's just a question of math. Each individual game is your cap hit divided by 82 and it adds up to whatever amount at the end of the season. So the key thing is you cannot be on pace to be above 60mil paid at the end of the season.
The simple example is that playing 41 games with a cap hit of 40mil means you can play the following 41 games with a cap hit of 80mil. Every game you play under the cap, you 'bank' that space (again, divided by 82), which means you can then spend it later (i.e. go over the 60mil cap).

The numbers that have to be under 60M are TODATE and PROJECTED. TODAY can be over 60M at any time after game 1, provided that you've banked enough room to keep PROJECTED under 60M. Note that it's very bad to be over 60M on game 1, because it means that you have to be under 60M by an equivalent amount the next game to get it to your TODATE down to 60M. And yes, this means that technically, Nashville has been over the cap by a small amount for most of the season. Hopefully they'll fix that before it ends.
Teams bank space by being under the cap maximum at the beginning of the season, as DetroitGM explained. You can't bank cap space with LTIR. It just allows you to bring replacement players with salaries up to that of the injured player at no penalty.
The
Cap Rules have now been expanded, so if you still have questions, ask away there.

With Merrill ($2,04M) on LTIR and Misyul who just got off it, I can bring my salaries up to $62,04M, yeah?
