Yeah, well, pfft. So there.
Let me take this opportunity to remind everyone that there is no roster limit or salary cap in the playoffs. So don't complain if someone like Justin stashes a spare all-star team on the farm only to call them all up in May.

CHI was over last game and needs to get under for tomorrow.
No, I started Pickard, but prob should have started Juan Pablo instead. He'll be in the next game.

I understand that there is no salary cap in the playoffs, but teams cant be over on the last game of the season, right ?
I mean... if you are sure of making the playoffs, can you claim a guy on waivers, go over the cap and accept the penalty to play your backup for the last 5 games of the season ? And move on in the playoffs...

Well, we could just rule that any players acquired after the deadline are ineligible to play in the playoffs. But honestly, I doubt some amazing superstar is going to go on waivers after the deadline and slip through unclaimed to a playoff team. Not while Vik is 7 figures under the cap, anyway.

CHI was indeed over on Sunday. Otherwise, everyone else has been sneaking under on game days. DET and BUF need to get under by Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

Looks like you've demoted Weal and Djoos, in which case, you're at 74,724,583 and you need to be 70,275,267 or less. So still lots of work to do. Easy out would be to demote RNH. Outside of that, you're probably going to have to waive a player or two.

I think he also demoted Milano. Plus, there is always an option of demotion of Dumba.

Milano was already demoted when I calculated the salaries so that's factored in. Although I didn't use Dan's number which would make a lot more sense since they were updated yesterday. Using that, only need to get down to 70,622,766 (every penny counts!).

DET and CHI still over the cap. Both were over for a game each and get a backup start (CHI tonight, DET in 3).

Ugh, something went wrong on the 23rd, I'll fix them.
Speaking of which, BUF was indeed over the cap on the 23rd, so add them to the list of backup starts. And DET is ok now.

LA needs to shed a bunch of contracts.

Everyone's fine. However, a note for Dallas and any other team with LTIR underagers - there's no benefit to keeping them on your pro roster. In Dallas' case, Scherbak gets $0 in LTIR (because Dallas was well below $68M when he got injured), so he's just wasted cap space sitting injured on a pro roster. Either keep these guys on your pro roster if you can't be bothered, or send them down to make things easier and save yourself some cap room. If you start shuffling LTIR youngsters back and forth I will get very annoyed.

Thanks for letting me know. I didn't know that.

Everyone's clear. Let's keep it up for one more week and then I can finally stop caring about cap numbers.
