Reasoning: "When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound. Rebuild those plans, and set sail once more" - Napoleon Hill

My first instinct when getting swept by PIT was to stay the course, as TB had a dominant second half and performed well in the playoffs. However, I think Pat said it best when he remarked that it appeared Bern's team always had that extra bit of power when the game mattered. My brute strength and truculence was to much for most teams, but it was clear TB was lacking offensive skills. While I'm sure my current roster would of contended next season, once I met PIT I felt the result would most likely be the same.

Brent Burns and Ryan Kesler are players that have skill sets I think you need to have in order to be successful. It will be impossible to replace them, and I'm still unsure of whether this offensive push will bring about the results I'm looking for. I'm hoping taking the spotlight off Seguin will open him up to produce more in big-game moments, something he struggled with against PIT (0G, 3A in 4GP in ECF). Bigras will compete with a few other guys to replace the void left by Burns, and I hope to find the next Connor Rankin with the late round picks.

Crosby is my favourite player. If EHEC could become any more addicting for me, it just did. Having him on my roster will ensure I am around as long as the doors are open.

I'm coming for ya Bern!

Accepted.
Not funny to let go my favorite player, Statsny, Ladd and Crosby was one of the most dangerous line, but at the end of the day i'm not winning.
So changes were needed. I wanted to be more physical, harder to play against. With his 9.6M contract, Sid the Kid was the logical choice to find my need.
Kesler one of my favorite player as a Canucks fan, really like his skill, good CK, HI, FA, SK and CON. 2nd trip for Burns in LA, will likely play RW on my 2nd with Kesler and Brown, but like his abilitie to play defense.
