To LA: Teemu Rautiainen(80), Bernhard Keil(76), Hannu Toivonen(53)
To CGY: Wayne Simmonds(76), NJ's 2nd round pick in 2013
Rautiainen will become a high CON sniper with defensive abilities. Keil also projects to be a well rounded player.
Having all those prospects on the farm kinda made them expandable.
Hannu Toivonen was losing his job in Abbotsford so I don't mind to officially turn to Jimmy Howard.
Adding another 2nd round pick is really great.
I will now get to draft 3 players in the 2nd round or be in a better position to trade up the board.
Wayne Simmonds is a consistent power forward that plays both wings with a really friendly multi-year contract.
He's the kind of player that works out just fine under coach Sutter.
Not looking for him to score 25 goals, I only need him to hit people, take pucks away and get good ratings.
That's what Wayne Simmonds is good at.
* Please keep in mind rule 9E2 on trades completed on or after January 1st. Pro-ration at 50%.

Re: Calgary/Los Angeles
Accepted.
I was looking to get a little younger and add prospect to play on my 3rd or 4th line this year and for my future. I want a 3rd and 4th line who can play different strategy. Hannu Toivonen will became Mason backup some day. Hard to let go a 2nd rd pick for this year draft.

Trade approved.
Simmonds is certainly the biggest name moving in this deal. That in mind, what he brings to a club is one dimensional, 89 HI, passable positioning, perfect fit for a bottom six role. In discussions LA's motivation for making this move wasn't perfectly clear. But, in the final analysis, what difference there may be in value doesn't rise to the rejection level.
