With just two days until the trade deadline, 11 games are in the books for tonight without very many surprises. Ryan Stone will miss two weeks for the victorious Coyotes who put together a strong effort beating the Oilers. Mikhail Grabovski's injury kickstarts a third period line brawl complete with a goalie fight in Toronto. The Red Wings (yes, I fixed their illegal lines) shut out the Avalanche while the Flames dominate the Flyers (I'm sorry Ryan). GM Pat Webber forces extra practices on his tired bunch before the second game of a back-to-back and it yields poor results as new GM Greg Pickel is a winner for the second night in a row. The Jets put it together tonight and take down the Blues while the Sharks, Kings, and Hurricanes also pick up two points.

*insert platitudes about needing your best players to be your best players to win* well, it happened.

Now that this brutal road trip is nearly over it would be nice to start actually gaining some ground on LA/PHX with each win.

Nice start to five on the road tonight, though I'm not thrilled we didn't pocked at least one on four PP attempts. Couple days off should be nice, too, cause that three games in four days stretch coming up should be brutal. Really like what I've seen from Roy thus far, and just need to get a handle on Rochester before they slip too far out of the picture.
.
I may be active at the deadline, I feel somewhat confident in what's going on, so I'll start browsing the block thread, and if anyone sees anything they like on the roster, certainly feel free to PM me. That being said, no LAK's are showing up in my Player Scout. Has that happened to anyone else before, and if so, how did you remedy it?

Matt Read getting the game winner in Calgary is a nice way to cap the night! :D

That did not ''really'' happen as Kipper was perfect between the pipes tonight.
This game had the potential to be a blowout, but my powerplay went 1/10 despite firing 17 shots.

Great, great group effort. Everyone but Caputi (6) posted 7's rating or better.
You can't go wrong when everyone's involved.

We just wanted to have a nice clean hockey game, and Edmonton sends out the goon squad. What are my skilled players to do?

Good win though; too bad LA and SJ keep on keepin' on.

It was Summers who took out Stone, too. The dirty rat.

Summers... who you traded for Quincey... who cruelly wounded Radulov in game 1.

IT'S KARMA!

Yeah, one shot one goal, not too shabby.

Yeah, I know, was just too lazy, tired, and drunk to post it in the correct forum.

And Timonen's suddenly a goal scorer. He's upping his trade value for the deadline.

Somebody was bound to get hurt sooner or later, I guess.

I still maintain that Radulov tripped over his own stick. Quincey plays hard but clean. He only has a bunch of penalty minutes this season because your goons keep going after him. :P
