By 'end of 2013' do you mean the end of the 2013-2014 season, or some point in the year 2013? January 31? End of regular season/playoffs/just before the draft/training camp?

I guess this just goes to show that I've got no clue other than to add that the longer it goes the more players will retire early (irrelevant for now) or possibly suffer freak career-ending injuries (rare, but it happens).

End of 2013 it is. I don't know yet if I'm going to make this file available yet or not. I think I'm trustworthy enough in terms of the financial policy. I have concerns about making it available in the sense that it may dictate trades or make some people question ones that we have passed through. I'll weigh the pros and cons later with Ryan and decide.

I doubt anyone would question you, but making it available wouldn't be that bad. Nothing is stopping GMs from simming ahead themselves, it's good management IMO. Myself, I have a gamefile saved from each of the next 4 seasons lol

And I'm fully aware of the shortcomings of the CPU AI, especially when it comes to training. What I don't want is somebody to come in and bitch about a trade because a guy who is currently 74/79 is 74/74 in the savefile and then wondering why we didn't factor that in.

I'm just wondering if it could cause more harm than good.

I think it would be a good thing. I'm sure it would be nice to have if your a GM who doesn't have the time to sim ahead a few seasons and while obv there is going to be differences between CPU training and human, having some sort of reference point is better then none. Even in my sims, I've been surprised with certain players development and as we discussed in the "town hall meeting" chat its more then just .pot x ceiling = attribute. I don't think the TC should have to consult the savefile and then factor in the human aspect of training/development, it should be the GM's responsibility to research (whether on there own or using the league file) and making decisions on whether a human/CPU training regimen would make a difference in the player(s) development.

I'm pretty sure in 99.9% of cases, the CPU uses the players position to determine the training regimen. i.e F = attack, D = defense and G = goalies. We all know (or at least I hope) that a players type (offense d-men, 2way forward, enforcer etc) and there ceilings are things that should also be factored in when choosing a training regimen. Also being able to switch from attack, defense and physic is huge as well. Making it available though would definitely be a positive imo and increase the competition level in the league.
