EHM decided to roll the dice tonight and landed on chaotic evil. Five or so different teams managed to blow 3 or 4 goal leads, mostly at home to teams below them in the standings. Nobody was seriously injured, at least.
Alright, let's do the tally:
SJ@BUF: Three unanswered to open the game, no blown lead.
NJ@CAR: Four unanswered to end the game; 2 goal lead blown.
ANA@CGY: A tie. What the hell?
CBS@CHI: Four unanswered to open the game and that's it. A rare home hold.
OTT@DET: Three unanswered to open, three more to blow it, and another two to bring it back to the roadies.
BOS@FLA: Visitors open scoring 2 minutes in, then goon it up and give up five straight including 3/6 PPs.
... and then things go haywire:
COL@LA: 4 home goals to open scoring, then 5 straight to blow the lead in OT (while on the PP, no less).
PHI@MTL: Three straight home goals to start, four unanswered replies to blow it in OT.
TB@NYI: Visitors alternate d one goal each before giving up four straight.
DAL@ARI: Three home goals to open, five unanswered to blow the lead in regulation (including an empty netter and the winner with 3 minutes left).
WAS@STL: Four unanswered by the home team and that's all. EHM ran out of ideas here.
