Hey look WHO REMEMBERED HE SIMS ON SATURDAYS. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG...

Lots of games tonight boys, hope you won, sorry if you lost. I will say, IIRC the last time I simmed the Kings got murdered by the Redwings. Well, you're welcome on this one, the Kings murder the Redwings this time (which makes more sense I suppose?)

Only major injury is in the DAL-WPG matchup, but it's only 3 weeks so Namestnikov lives to fight another day.

On the 9th, my Wings beat LA 1-0, so not sure it was a murder, but still pretty embarrassing for the Kings :p


In other news, if my calculations are correct, Ottawa has become the first team to clinch a playoff spot, courtesy of the Rangers beating Carolina.

You're in full on tank mode, so I say 1-0 is a murder. But fair point

Hey, we were 5-2-3 in the 10 games before that Kings win! If we did that for a full season, we'd be 3rd in the league

Both my goalies are in the top-10 for sv%, so maybe it's actually the team defence

Good thing I remembered to start my backup Markstrom before the sim, otherwise he might have had a rating worse than 4? Although that's a bit harsh; .88 sv% actually improved his season average.

Meanwhile, Stockton Heat 2( 12) , San Jose Barracuda 14( 44) - now that's some qualities 80's hockey. Calgary's goalies are making a good run of it but I think it'll be tough to beat out the Chicago farm squad, especially Jake Allen's 0-11, 9.27 GAA and 83.3 sv%.
