Devils trading block

Post by SharksGM »

Veterans/pending free agents that NJ is willing to trade. NJ has no retention slots available but can take back salary.

Needs are generally power/two-way forwards and defensive defensemen.

Added Dauphin and Pilon to the block. Needs are the same as before.

If you're close to the cap, take a good look at Laurent Dauphin. He's out with an injury for the next 4 months so he's free LTIR room as a 13th forward for half of the season. Plus, he's the heir to the throne.

Added Minulin and Lindstrom to the block since NJ has a logjam on D. No real rush to move them since they're still AHL eligible but reasonable value offers will be considered nonetheless.

Updated. I'm not looking to make a lot of moves on behalf of an orphan team, but NJ has some expendable veterans and can take on cap for the right return.

Added some more names to the list. NJ has some cap room and a bit of a logjam at defense and even more so at forward, so while the preference is to deal players for picks/futures, a 2 or 3-for-1 could work too.

Added Pilon, Harper and both goalies (Oettinger, really) to the list. One retention slot available for a particularly compelling offer.

Everyone is still available. Highlighting Ryan "Worst First Overall Pick Ever, Also Having a Terrible Season" Pulock.

Added 86 OF 75 DF Jonathan Drouin to the list. It will need a good offer as NJ can easily afford to re-sign him.

If you're a rebuilding team with available retention slots but no valuable expiring vet contracts, NJ can trade you Couture/Pulock/Oettinger/basically anyone for a fair portion of the proceeds from a third contending team.

Bump. No offer is too low for NJ's UFAs, and some RFAs too. Act soon!

NJ has too many forwards and too few defensemen.
You know the drill. Offer me a D for forward
Or just a Defenseman. Interested in expiring UFA defensemen as well.

We're doing well but we're open to talk about players.
Looks like I built this team too deep in the summer, so I have some players I'd like to trade for picks and prospects.
I managed to calm down Burmistrov so I guess his stock has risen, so I am open to talk about him as well.
Looks like this team is going to play-offs so don't want to weaken this team, though.
But some good prospects need ice time to go up to the NHL so some bodies need to move.
Hit me up here or @ Discord.
